Please note: There are currently two variations of how to receive this training: 1) totally in-person; 2) “blended-learning” (with online lectures and in-person, hands-on practice).
First Aid for the General Public (online-only 3 hrs.)

First Aid for the General Public (in-person 4 hrs. or blended-learning 4.5 hrs.)
- two-year certification, upon successful completion of class
Blended-Learning Group Rate: $74 per person (six person minimum)
All In-Person Group Rate: $74 per person (six person minimum)
Class Size
The prices listed listed on this page are for a minimum of six students per class. Unlike CPR/AED classes (which require more personal attention), the maximum number of students in a First Aid class is 20.

In our First Aid class, we will cover the basics of how to recognize a medical emergency and what to do until help arrives. We will discuss the Good Samaritan Law, as well as how to protect yourself from disease transmission while giving first aid care.
In addition to these subjects, we will discuss how to recognize and what care to provide for a wide variety of injuries and sudden illnesses:
- strokes
- seizures
- poisonings
- allergic reactions
- diabetic emergencies
- heat/cold emergencies
- burns
- bleeding
- sprains/strains/fractures/dislocations
- spinal injuries
- concussions
Is This the Right Class for Me?
While these classes do not fulfill the requirements for most health care providers and safety professionals, they are acceptable for most other professions. Please read class descriptions and check with your employer, school, professional organization, etc., before registering, so you’re certain that this class will meet their requirements.
To be clear, this CPR-Twin Cities class does not include CPR/AED. But combination classes are available. (Click here to sign up for a money-saving CPR/AED/First Aid combo class instead.)
